I'm trying to replicate a setup I've seen in my previous company.
Basically, when a user log to the machine for the first time he automatically gets a modified xfce config. (company logo in background, panel, launcher with icons, etc...)
Where do I set up this default config ?
Create a new user account and customize it the way you want. Then, copy all your config files to /etc/skel like this:
sudo cp -r /home/your-user/.config /etc/skel/
I hope that helps.
This interesting! Can this work to backup all my configuration and set-up files system-wide to a flash drive? I'm a tech-newbie but learning!
Thanks for any hints!

There isn't much that can be different for a new user, and what is the default really should be the way it is.
