Not sure what you mean, exactly. Xfce uses Gtk2, so there might have to be some "Gnome stuff" involved (I'm not sure). Or are you referring to the package format your distro uses (.deb, .rpm, ???)?

No there is no one. All Xfce-distributions are built upon distributions using Gnome (and even Xfce uses some Gnome libraries (gvfs) ), so they will enable all features for their packages. If you really want a Linux without Gnome, build all the apps by yourself or use Chakra Linux. You could also try Razor-qt which is a nice Xfce alternative for Qt > http://razor-qt.org

LinuxAddicted. I have never used Chakra but as someone else mentioned, Manjaro Linux could be a good OS for you. Here's why I think it might suit you...
- It was started by one of the main Chakra team members.
- It's based on Arch Linux & is a fast, light, rolling release.
- Xfce is the default desktop environment.
- It has a wonderfully supportive community.
- While it is still in beta, it is already very stable.

As you can maybe tell, I use Manjaro and as a relative Linux newbie, I am VERY happy with the distro, having first tried Mint 13. They also have very good KDE & OpenBox versions, but Xfce is the one that receives the most attention from the development team.

Go well.

Ruziel.
