workspace switcher transparancy

I'm very fond of Xfce, have used it for years - thanks for the great job.

Is it possible to costumize the workspace switcher in the panel so that it gets transparency? It's really an uglyness *) to look at with a background image as panel.

I can't find anywhere in 'Properties' to do this - is there a config file where I can change it?

*) In danish we have a new word meaning 'a poo in the eye', but I don't know an equivallent english word for it :-)
