Thunar doesn't show mounted camera

Hi all.
I'm an Archlinux user, and on my Openbox system I use some xfce softwares.
The problem is explained into the title: when I insert my camera, thunar doesn't show anything about it in its side pane.

thunar 1.6.3-1
gvfs 1.18.3-3
gvfs-gphoto2 1.18.3-3
gphoto2 2.5.3-1

Re: Thunar doesn't show mounted camera

Using the same version of Thunar it does show up on our Debian Stable respin.

First question I would have: did you click Edit > Preferences > Advanced tab, click Enable Volume Mangement, and then click the link Configure to set up how a camera is handled?

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

Re: Thunar doesn't show mounted camera

Hi Jerry. Thanks for your reply.
The menu you're talking about is thunar-volman. It has no clue with thunar showing the device in its side pane. In fact I set "Import digital cameras when connected", but this has no effect. Regardless thunar-volman (that only let you specify some actions to automatically run on mount), I should see at least a PTP_Camera grayed out icon into the side pane, or a solid coloured one.
I add the fact that pcmanfm (which relies on gvfs too) shows the camera correctly.

Re: Thunar doesn't show mounted camera

I have to correct one thing:
not even Pcmanfm shows the camera into his side pane, until I access the camera by writing manually its address inside the bar
gphoto2://[usb:xxx,yyy]

Yesterday there's been a libgphoto2 update, and now also notify-osd is aware of the camera been connected, but thunar still doesn't show it.

Re: Thunar doesn't show mounted camera

We are using mirage instead of gphoto, could that make any difference?

Re: Thunar doesn't show mounted camera

Thanks again for your interest. smile
I found out what the problem was, and now I'm trying to solve it. I also opened a bugreport on Arch Linux bugtracker.
