Hide Window List Panel (tabwin)

Hi

Is there any way of not displaying the window list when you alt-tab, or at least changing the time that you press down the keys for it to appear?

I ask because I have 4 URxvts tiled on workspace 1 and the information in the window list panel is not helpful at all for them and it's easier just to look to see which one is highlighted. In fact the window list just gets in the way.

Thanks

Instead of alt-tab, try using super-tab. It will cycle through windows of the same application without bringing up the tabwin.

Re: Hide Window List Panel (tabwin)

Hmm that doesn't work here. It's also a really unnatural position for me on this laptop and my thumb is usually hovering above the alt key.

Is there a way I can move that command/action to alt-tab?

I take it, it's called 'Switch Application', but when I use that it only seem to cycle through the windows of the same app - ie it works great for my terminals, but doesn't work with different apps.

Re: Hide Window List Panel (tabwin)

"Switch window for same application" will switch between windows of the same app sans tabwin.
"Switch application" will switch between all windows sans tabwin.

Are you not seeing this behaviour? Which version of Xfce are you using?

Re: Hide Window List Panel (tabwin)

Same as here (arch). Do you have both of those options in Settings Manager -> Window Manager -> Keyboard? Do they work the same or differently?

Re: Hide Window List Panel (tabwin)

Ah it doesn't work with the actual settings window itself, but I tried some other windows and it seems good. Not sure why that is, so thanks for the suggestions. It's exactly as I need it.
