How to shutdown or reboot my computer without inputing password

I have a mini compture,the details:

OS : linaro ubuntu 12.04
platform : ARM Cortex-A9
Xfce :4.8

I logged in as a normal user system,
it let me enter a password when I shutdown or reboot the computer every time.
This is very inconvenient for me,so my question is how to shutdown or reboot my computer without inputing password?

因为我的电脑没有接键盘和鼠标。使用的是触摸屏，系统里面装了一个onboard虚拟键盘。在点击关机按钮之后，屏幕就变黑了，之后弹出一个密码输入框，这时虚拟键盘是用不了的，所以无法输入密码。

找了很多资料，最终把问题定位到Xfce这里了，希望大家能指点一二。

This is really a distro issue not a Xfce one. If you are using systemd there is a setting to control this.

Am I correct in assuming that you are running your OS on one of those little "computers on a card," something similar to a dyna-micro/MMD-1 circa 1976 or the far more recent Raspberry Pi? If so, it is possible that the distro which you have downloaded/installed onto your device might not be the same as what we'd traditionally consider to be a "full distro" because of space (or power/ability) reasons and/or special requirements of the device. Therefore, you might receive more specific help in the support forum for your distro (linaro for the ARM Cortex-A9) than in the forum for the DE (Desktop Environment, XFCE in this case). Especially since, as user ozjd mentioned, this is not, strictly speaking, an XFCE issue.

I did some searching via Google and discovered that you might have a file /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/org.freedesktop.consolekit.policy which has options - and can be edited with a text editor - in regards to requiring a password to shut down. The documentation I found discusses changing these options to allow someone to shutdown (et cetera) without inputting a password when others are logged in. Unfortunately, I do not know if this would in any affect your situation, if there are other options in that file which would, or even if you have that specific file or, instead, a comparable one with a different name. Again, visiting the support forum for your distro would be the best bet (IMHO).
