Thunar 1.6.3 Adding files to device on left bar

Hello,
I'm running Thunar 1.6.3 and I can't drag and drop files from HD to devices (from main window to left bar). I can do it from HD to HD. when I drag and drop it shows an infinite tag (or a chain) on the icon on devices and an arrow when doing it from HD to HD


Is there a tip for solving this ?

It doesn't work on the latest 1.6.10 either. There also doesn't appear to be a bug report for this. Perhaps creating one at https://bugzilla.xfce.org/ will get it to the developer's attention.
