Icons arranging to column

Hi,
When i select multiple icons (e.g. 4 icons in shape of square) on desktop and drag them to empty space, they will automatically arrange to column.

Is there way to disable this behavior? Thank you.

i'm using xubuntu 14.04, with xfce upgraded to 4.12

Hello and welcome.

Had a look at the git version of xfdesktop and the same happens. Doesn't seem to be configurable. There doesn't appear to be a report about it either, so if you're interested in following through, you should create a bug report.
