Sub Directories in Menus

Hello,
   I was wondering how you go about having submenus within menu. For example inside my game menu I would like to make a menu called steam where I can put all of my steam games. I'm certain I've see something similar to this before on my school's computer, I'm just not so certain how it should be done.

Sorry if this was a nooby question, but thank you to anyone who can help me!

There is a section in the how-to in the Xfce wiki that discusses manually creating submenus.

There are some menu editing tools (like alacarte) that also have this capability.
