Re: How to compile and install a .c file for xfce panel

Hello and welcome.

The Ubuntu wiki has these instructions for updating and compiling packages.

Re: How to compile and install a .c file for xfce panel

Thanks
I followed the guide ,  I have changed the file with a new spacing value and build and install the package of xfce4-panel but the spacing between the icons in notification area remains the same.
Thanks anyway.

Re: How to compile and install a .c file for xfce panel

I just tried it myself, changed the value to 5, and saw a small difference. Tried again with a value of 15 and saw a bigger difference. It seems to only affect the spacing between notification items and not at the padding at the ends of the plugin (those that border other panel plugins).

What value did you use? Did you re-start the panel?
