Desktop Freezing randomly

This is really bugging me and only started to happen since I updated to the lasted release of ubuntu.

The desk top will freeze for no apparent reason at random occasions.  By this I mean I can move the mouse but not interact with anything.

Sometimes it will let me drop out using ctl alt F1 and when I come back sometimes it has unfrozen.

Other times I have to close all my windows one by one then it will let me interact again with the windows in other ways.

I have been trying to see if I can find a patter to the problem but I cannot.

Any help in tracking down the issue is much appreciated

below is all the information I can think of that might help

Please excuse spelling or gamma I am dyslexic and know I get it wrong sometimes.

Many thanks
Peter

Re: Desktop Freezing randomly

I don't see how this is an Xfce issue at all. As you say, this started happening after an Ubuntu upgrade, so the Ubuntu forum is the natural place to pose your question for the best responses IMO.
