Dual GPUs - Dual monitors and extended desktop

I'm having issues with getting an extended desktop with my two monitors connected to my two GPUs separately (1x to GTX670 and 1x to GTX1070).
It seems XFCE crashes when starting up with nvidia drivers, xrandr and xfce?

I already asked this question on the Arch forums, so I figure its easiest to check out that thread for full details.

I want to ask here as well since you guys are the XFCE experts. Is there any way to get my two monitors running an extended desktop from two GPUs?
