panel 4.13.0 xfconf trouble

Hello,

I built panel 4.13.0 and xfconf 4.13.1 and they don't seem to be working well together:

xfconf alone seems to be working fine (with default config):

──── xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -p /panels/panel-2/position
p=8;x=100;y=1064

But the panel won't load the default config or save a newly made config in the parameters application, it always results in an empty panel:

xfce-bork

And running the panel from the command line yields to following messages:

cmd

Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

I should add that I've updated all other components of xfce from source and they seem to be working fine.

Re: panel 4.13.0 xfconf trouble

Hello and welcome.

xfce4-panel doesn't support xfconf 4.13 yet. You need to build it with xfconf 4.12.1 for the time being until it is migrated over to support xfconf 4.13.

Re: panel 4.13.0 xfconf trouble

Thanks for the quick reply ToZ. Do you know if that is a big change or if I could apply some patch to avoid rolling back xfconf to 4.12.1?

Re: panel 4.13.0 xfconf trouble

I'm not aware of a patch. I have an xfconf 4.12 directory that I install from then I build and install xfce4-panel and then follow that up with another build/install of xfconf 4.13 for the other components. A little tedious but I'm sure it will be ported over shortly.
