Small application fonts

I've got xfce4 (version 4.12.1) running on my desktop and it's all good.

But, I have 2 applications in my auto start. Both come up, but they have tiny fonts. I then quit them and restart and all is well. Oh, the 2 applications are clementine and firefox.

I have set the custom DPI settings to 1.5. Could that be the problem?

Re: Small application fonts

I just did a search of this forum and see that I posted the same question a few years ago. Shame that it's still a bug ... but, the solution at the time was to insert a delay. I even posted that using:

   /bin/sh -c 'sleep 2'; clementine

worked fine. So, I tried it again ... and it doesn't work at all. Clementine does not start. I have no idea why. Is there a log file to check?

I don't know about Firefox but Clementine is a QT4 application so you can set the font size using qt-config.

Thanks, but that really isn't the problem. The fonts for both are just fine after I restart them. The problem is only when the start as part of the login autostart.

Re: Small application fonts

Okay ... got it working. In the autostart I now call up the application with:

sh -c "sleep 1 && clementine"

and that works. Why the previous command /bin/sh -c 'sleep 2'; clementine did not work will have to remain a mystery to me.
