Unwanted password dialog after logging in as standard user

Hello, I'm getting a password dialog after I login to XFCE with the caption "Enter password to unlock your login password". I can get rid of it by entering the password to my user account again, but I'd rather avoid the dialog altogether.

Any ideas?

Re: Unwanted password dialog after logging in as standard user

We could use a bit more information:

--what distro?
--what login manager (lightdm, kdm, etc.)?
--sounds like maybe a keyring problem:are you using one?

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.

Check the Application Autostart tab at Settings > Session and Startup for any keyring related entries, anything there?

Re: Unwanted password dialog after logging in as standard user

There are 3 unchecked items in the Autostart list which sound as if they might be relevant:
1. Certificate and Key Storage (GNOME Keyring: PKCS#11 Component)
2. SSH Key Agent (GNOME Keyring: SSH Agent)
3. Secret Storage Service (GNOME Keyring: Secret Service)
I don't want to cause any damage by random selection, so any suggestions which one(s) I should change?

This answer, although not intended for FreeBSD, did the job.

I didn't have to change anything else whatsoever!
