Avatar in Xubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

It isn't obligatory, but I want to have an avatar in my Xubuntu. I know, I can do it, 'cause I did it on my crashed previous Xubuntu system. I forgot how I have to do it (how usual for me). Can anyone say how?

I think you mean Mugshot: https://wiki.bluesabre.org/mugshot-docs/usage

In my language it appears as "About me" in the menus.

Re: Avatar in Xubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

And is this the purpose of the .PNG image file that I see in my /home/username directory that is called ".face" (user may have to press CTRL + H if the view hidden files option is not enabled in Thunar)? If so, are there any file constraints that Ann2509 needs to know about? In other words, an upper limit to the image file size and/or a resolution-based restriction? Or will any .PNG - or even any graphics format file type - be automatically "scaled to fit?"

Regards,
MDM

Yes, see here: https://launchpad.net/mugshot

No idea, the docs didn't specify that... Maybe someone can answer that or take a look at the (Python) code and tell us!

I see nothing about limits in the detailed documentation: https://wiki.bluesabre.org/mugshot-docs/usage

MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.
