Re: Thunar is not copy a directory to a connected Bluetooth decive

I don't have a bluetooth-enabled laptop to test with.....yet (parts have been ordered).

Can you copy files to the bluetooth device without using thunar (command line, another file manager)?

There should be an associated bluetooth desktop file in either /usr/share/Thunar/sendto or ~/.local/share/Thunar/sendto. Can you post it's contents?

Re: Thunar is not copy a directory to a connected Bluetooth decive

I can confirm this behavior using an Acer AO722 and my Samsung Galaxy 8. Transfer does not even initiate when a folder is selected, but does with a file. If I create an archive of that folder, which is the way I usually do it anyway, it transfers without problem. That file's contents for us on Debian Stretch:

[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=Bluetooth recipient
Icon=stock_mailto
Exec=bluetooth-sendto %F
TryExec=bluetooth-sendto

Re: Thunar is not copy a directory to a connected Bluetooth decive

cat /usr/share/Thunar/sendto/thunar-sendto-blueman.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Version=1.0
Name=Bluetooth Device
Icon=blueman
Exec=blueman-sendto %F
X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=blueman
programmer@crea:~$ blueman-sendto --help
Usage: blueman-sendto [options] file1 file2 ... fileN

Options:
  -h, --help show this help message and exit

  -d ADDRESS, --device=ADDRESS
                        Send files to this device
  --dest=ADDRESS        Same as --device
  -s PATTERN, --source=PATTERN
                        Source adapter. Takes address or adapter's name eg.
                        hci0

programmer@crea:~$ blueman-sendto -d 78:52:1A:B4:EC:A0

I think that is not bug, Program bluetooth-sendto is coded  to send only file(s), not directory.
send file dialog
Send file dialog window be created when above command
