18.10 and Thunar

With the new Xubuntu 18.10 and with Thunar 1.8.1 the color that highlighted the sorting chosen when viewing the contents of a directory (sort by Name, Size, Owner, etc ....) is disappeared! Is this also a bug or a desired choice?

Xubuntu 18.10 introduces the version of Thunar that is built with GTK3 libraries. This is a significant change. The issue that you are seeing may be a bug in GTK3, Thunar or in the theme. GTK3's GtkTreeView style properties don't make reference to column colours - so it may be that the issue is there.

Assuming that you are using the Greybird theme, I'd suggest creating a bug report there. The theme developer is also an Xfce developer and he may have some further insight into this issue.
