[SOLVED]Changing default font in xfce settings doesn't change the font

Hello all,

I've been using Xfce since Xubuntu 14.04, but this time I wanted to try KDE. I installed Kubuntu 18.04 from ISO, and I didn't like it. So, I installed xubuntu-desktop, then mate-desktop, then ubuntu-desktop, but I have decided to stick with Xfce.

Now, when I change the default font in xfce settings from Noto Sans to another font, it does not change the font in Thunar, Xfce-panel and Xfce-settings, even after reboot. All the others applications seems to be with the correct font.

How can I solve this?

Thanks.

Perhaps something is overriding that setting.

Can you post the contents of $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0 and $HOME/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini (if they exist) and also the results of the following:

xfconf-query -c xsettings -lv

...and

ps -ef | grep setting

Re: [SOLVED]Changing default font in xfce settings doesn't change the font

The problem was solved by removing .gtkrc-2.0 file.

Thank you very much ToZ.

$ cat $HOME/.gtkrc-2.0

# File created by KDE Gtk Config
# Configs for GTK2 programs

style "user-font"
{
	font_name="Noto Sans "
}
widget_class "*" style "user-font"
gtk-font-name="Noto Sans  11"
