Connect to X-Server without login

Hi there,

we are using an older private library that needs an xserver to draw. We don't need any GUI or windows. Normally we are using Ubuntu Server as our system and there we install xorg and openbox. Then we are having two services:
- the first service starts the xserver (startx)
- the second service sets the rights for the user (xhost) that runs the xserver needing library

Now we have a customer that wants to use xubuntu 18.04 desktop and there start our problems. As long as no user is logged in to Xfce we cannot use the xserver. We are not allowed to. I can see it in the process list:

3403 tty7     Ssl+   0:00 /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -core :0 -seat seat0 -auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:0 -nolisten tcp vt7 -novtswitch

Does anyone know how we can configure the system in a way that we can start services that need xserver under a given user at startup?

Best regards,
Largo
