I have just set up my debian 13 with the xfce desktop. I come from ubuntu-mate which I used for many years.
One feature that I used with the caja file manager was ssh://user@host/dir/path and then be able to directly launch terminal or vscode (via caja actions) in that remote directory.
I recreated similar actions in thunar and these work for local and mounted remote fs's. However they do not work for remote locations accessed by the ssh:// URI.
I am guessing this can be overcome and is down to my using wrong URI or missing libs. But I can't figure how to proceed.
Do I need to install additional fuse libs? Can thunar perform these actions for remote filesystem URIs?
Other than this (and turning off screenlock for DPMS standby) I have just about configured XFCE to my liking. Just this one workflow to iron out.
I'd be grateful for any tips/advice.
Cheers.
EDIT: I was missing gvfs-fuse. Actions now appear and work for remote fs.
