Creating desktop launcher for flatpak apps

Hello!

I've been using XFCE for many years and have run into an intermittent brick wall.  Some distros let me drag and drop applications on the desktop with no trouble.  But some distros such as Linux Mint XFCE (ubuntu) and SolydX create an icon that will not launch when that application was installed via flatpak.

I'm wondering why there's a difference and especially if there's a fix for this.

I'm running SolydX 12 with XFCE 4.18.1

Thank you in advance for all your help!!!

Re: Creating desktop launcher for flatpak apps

Hello and welcome.

You are a little light on the specifics (e.g. where are you dragging from), but is this what you are referring to? If so, it was fixed in whiskermenu 2.8.3.

Yes, that looks like what I'm expeiencing.

I'm sorry to be so vague.  I was dragging and dropping from the main menu and getting broken links.

Thank you for your help!!!
