Long due Good Bye note - and comment on Power Management issues

As a while has passed after I switched to another environment and my blood cooled up enough - I though It would be nice to point out in my opinion pointless issue that seem to originate not from spirit of contribution, excellence and competency but ideological doctrine. And we all know, how "great" of the fruit those tend to bequest.

I'm sure it is a nice idea to lock people of choice and control to "save the planet" - but it is generally true, that "earning virtue" at another's expense very rarely lead to positive outcomes (which is not not surprising seeing the obvious problem within the concept's very definition).
For example: I myself happen to have a custom, very energy efficient setup (for plenty of reasons, ecology among the least important, as frankly my carbon footprint, that I earned with MY OWN blood and sweat, is so far in negative it could probably balance a small city, and I do believe I earned myself a right for burning few truck tires per day to be overlooked had I such a whim).

A very energy efficient setup, that not only is a ridiculously pointless target for arbitrary power restrictions (as how big a random % of nearly nothing can be in the first place?) - it also handled it terribly, because being efficient = having no waste usage to trim in the first place. Which forced me to run it pointlessly on a full blast the entire time I was using Xfce, and still face issues...

It is your project so you will do what you want, but consider this my opinion on the matter.

Ps. This sort of flawed and destructive narcissism driven decision making do tend to proliferate into other areas, that will only increase damage it does to the project. And that before even you take into account that Xfce is over represented on (already) low energy use systems, so taking users control "for the cause" likely made zero difference outside of making life harder for many of them. Thanks.

EDIT1: Also, that browser identification thingy despite being cute seem kind of pointless after that famous Firefox debacle - engine aside, every single of my browsers claims it is Chrome so what's the point?

EDIT2: I will preemptively respond to all the "it is open source and free, therefore you cannot complain". I'm not complaining, I went elsewhere and have my needs met. I am writing it because a lot of people are putting their effort into this project - they are owed a truth at least, and preferably not seeing their efforts wasted by dumb things. That entire angle of belief completely devoid of thinking was questionable long before AI companies turned it into a joke.

EDIT3: In case it was not clear what this post apply to: GUI Power Management of Xfce & Command Line Power Management of Xfce & File configurations of Xfce Power Management & Documentation related to Xfce Power Management and my assumption that with all of them working toward same goal, the goal was the reason those work the way they work.
Also, any actually smart/competent narcissist would realize, that taking away trickier options like command line & configs only affects people that needed it enough to waste their time on it in the first place, so they aren't going stop there either because they likely can't. This is Microslop's levels of dumb...

Signature letters look back at you as you check it up.
[you] take [1] point of [emotional] damage!
1) Cry.  2) Run.  3) Reload.  4) Get back to work - you have that presentation tomorrow...
