How to custom panel

Hi folks,

How to custom "panel" so that on shrinking an application it becomes icon on it.  Therefore on clicking the icon it'll restore the application on desktop for reading/editing.

Now shrinking an application it gone somewhere.  I can't restore it.  Occasionally it'll come back on turning the mouse wheel.

TIA

Re: How to custom panel

You have two possibilities:

1) In your panel: Add New Item, add Icon Box. Apps will appear in the Icon Box
2) Add a second panel, in that panel add Task List. Apps will appear in the Task Bar.
On shrinking you will see them there!

I have created an icon (named as Editor) on the panel sometimes.  Clicking it starts a blank document.  Acturally it is "nano".  After typing some text shrink it.  It gone somewhere.  Clicking the said icon again starts another blank document.  Where is the original document?

I too have an icon Editor in the panel, starting Mousepad.
When shrinking an application, you need either a Task Bar or the Icon Box. That's the place where you can find your open applications.
There you always can find the document you are editing.

I can't find "panel add Task List" item.  On right-click panel, I only found "Customize Panel"

Just above "Customize Panel" there is also "Add New Item".
You have the choice, either you add "Icon Box" as New Item on your existing panel,
or you customize your panel by adding a new (second) panel, in which you then add "Task List" as new item.
Place that second panel (with the Task List) on the upside of your screen.

I got it done.  Applications can be shrinked on the panel.  Tks.
