Daylight saving?

Hi,

This is as much a distro problem as an XFCE one, I am in Western Australia and today we switched to daylight saving. How do I change the time in XFCE?

Thanks,

Simon.

Re: Daylight saving?

The old fashioned way. Open the terminal and set the clock (date command).
or make sure you have correct timezone setup.

Anyway, Xfce does not give any tools or ways to change this. It relies on your distro fully
to have time correct.

Re: Daylight saving?

The problem is none of the distros in use have picked up we are trialling daylight saving. All the clocks are wrong! :-(

Re: Daylight saving?

The real world is always ahead of the virtual one.  Change your timezone for now, use tzset.  It may be possible to set up a new timezone that includes daylight savings time without writing code, but I am not sure.

Tell the government to leave the clocks alone!

Good Luck

Jim

Re: Daylight saving?

I have moved to Tokyo, well as far as the computers are concerned!

Actually the daylight saving is better for most people, it would be nice (if inconvenient for computers) to keep it. :-)
