Is there a way to make the taskbar glow?

Hi everyone !

There is something that prevent me from switching to XFCE from Gnome: the blinking in taskbar. I like how gnome manage to handle this less aggressively by making the button in taskbar glowing instead of blinking. Is there any option to do that?

I'm on Xubuntu 7.10.

Keep the good work!

so is there a way to make the blinking to a maximum value? like blink five time then stay on blinked color without blinking anymore.

Re: Is there a way to make the taskbar glow?

It should blink only 5 times or so, but that probably broken. Anyway in trunk we've switch to libwnck (gnome taskbar backend) so you'll see glowing in the next mayor release of Xfce.

If you really can't wait any longer, you could compile xfce4-panel from a recent snapshot: http://mocha.xfce.org/downloads/svn-snapshots/xfce/
