Desktop Icons

Hi,

Very easy question, but it's got me.  There are three icons on my desktop; Trash, Home, File System.  I don't want them there, how can I get rid of them?  I have tried to delete many ways but I'm lost.  ls -lash doesn't show any files in ~/Desktop/ either.

Cheers in advance, I am sure this one is quick.

Jon

Re: Desktop Icons

Start Applications -> Settings -> Settings Manager -> Desktop -> Menu and disable this function - http://www.xfce.org/documentation/4.2/manuals/xfdesktop

You also can start this program via Terminal:  xfce-setting-show backdrop

Re: Desktop Icons

Go to "Desktop Preferences", there, in the tab "Desktop Icons" choose "None". That's all.

Enjoy

Re: Desktop Icons

Cheers guys, both ways go to the same place. Under the 'behaviour' tab on mine. Job done ;-)

Re: Desktop Icons

Hi

You can also configure which of them you want to show or hide:
