Xfce and VNC

Is it possible to share the current Xsession?  I would like to be able to vnc in to my computer and see what is being displayed on the lcd.  gnome has this functionality b/c I think vnc is embedded within it.  Does xfce have any way to mimic that behavior?

For example, if I am at work, I'll vnc in to my home computer and see if anyone has IM'ed me.

Thx,
Dan

Re: Xfce and VNC

You have to install vnc server software on your server machine (The machine you want to connect to.)
I prefer vino as it is gnome based and it seems to work well with xfce

sudo apt-get install vino

On the client use any vnc viewer, I believe that there is a standard vnc package already installed.

Re: Xfce and VNC

bls9707,

Thx...I already have it installed but started the vnc service using vino-session and all it good.

So, gnome starts vino-session when it logs in?

Thx,
Dan
