[Solved] Invisible dekstop background and icons in xubuntu

Hi!

I'm currently running Xubuntu karmic in an acer aspire one, older version (it came with some kind of fedora).
It had been working properly for about a year, and I'm really happy with it.

But lately I've found that when I turn on the computer my desktop background, the icons and all the stuff that normally appears in it simply are not here, only a black screen. I can run all aplications normally, but this annoying issue is here and I can do nothing to abort it. Dekstop background/icons are still working on other users but mine. What can I do?

Thanks for advice!

(Tits in return are against forum rules?)

Try launching xfdesktop with alt+f2 or with a terminal, this should bring the desktop back. Then save your session (check the box in the exit dialog) so that you don't have to do this every time.

Re: [Solved] Invisible dekstop background and icons in xubuntu

thanks a lot!

I've tried "xfce" in terminal, but it suggest me some things that didn't work. Now it's working ok!

Great forum guys, I'll be back for sure!
