Thunar : double-clicking smb share triggers "Open with" dialog

Hi.

I'm using Thunar to access a remote smb share (external USB hard drive plugged to my router, if it matters).

URI is smb://bbox/memup_500gb

Within Thunar I can browse smb://bbox/ but then , when double-clicking on memup_500gb, I get an "Open with" dialog box.

However, writing the path directly into the address bar works.

Is there an explanation ? a way to fix this ?

What makes it even more annoying is that smb bookmarks disappear from one session to another.

Should I file bugs for those issues or is it my config ? I didn't find any already opened yet.

(FWIIW, post on the debian forum : http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=67057)

Any useful information I can provide, I will.

Re: Thunar : double-clicking smb share triggers "Open with" dialog

Oh, right. Sorry. Had been searching but didn't find it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Actually, it does not say that the remote shares can be browsed. The user just has to type the path instead of double-clicking.

What about disappearing bookmarks ? Is it ongoing work ? Should a bug (or feature request) be filed ?

You mean disappearing remote bookmarks? That's a feature that we will support in Xfce 4.10.

Ah. OK. Didn't see that either. I didn't expect it to be that complicated.

I guess I should try to create myself some sort of launcher using a custom action in the meantime.

Thanks for the answer.
