background artist?
Just switched to Xfce and am very happy with it. Really glad I decided to give it a try.
Question... does anyone know who made the background, bundled with Xfce, titled "vect_or"? I would describe it as a silhouette of an island floating in the sky. Thought it was nice, want to see if he/she has more.

The default background images are usually set by the distribution. You don't say which you are using but probably best to ask there.
