[Solved] button restart and shutdown greyed in xfce4-session-logout

Hello everyone,

I already search on the forum and google my problem, and a lot of people have the same problem because of slim or other reasons.

So when I run xfce4-session-logout, I only have 3 buttons : logout, restart and shutdown, and the 2 last are greyed (inactive).

I run xdm + xfce4. I tried with gdm and slim, still the same problem.

But when I run on another terminal a new Server X, I don't have any problem, so I think it comes from my launch.

my ~/.xinitrc is this line :

exec ck-launch-session startxfce4

my ~/.xsession is the same line :

exec ck-launch-session startxfce4

Where do you think the problem comes from ?

If you need any information, please ask me.

Thank you xfce community !

Re: [Solved] button restart and shutdown greyed in xfce4-session-logout

Discussing in the #xfce channel, I was strongly recommended to read more about this two file (xinitrc and xsession).
After some reading, I just remove my ~/.xsession and it run perfectly.

As far as I understand, that was due to some ck session. Indeed, when server X starts, it exec ck-launch-session startxfce4, and when gdm/xdm run, it run another time a ck-session...
