[Solved] FreeBSD and thunar volman problem

I am using FreeBSD 9.0 now, and installed the xfce 4.10 as my desktop environment.
But I have some problem with the thunar-volman.
It is not provided in the port tree, so I used the source code to compile myself.
It requires gudev as dependency, while gudev is only provided in linux.
So I can't install the thunar-volman as volume manager.
I read the official document:
http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/using-removable-media
It seems thunar-volman once support FreeBSD(I am not so sure).(I am sure that I have HAL and it works.)
So can anyone help me?
Or can your provided some other methoad to provide the auto-mount(volume-management) function?
Thank you.

Re: [Solved] FreeBSD and thunar volman problem

thunar-volman is unsupported by FreeBSD, because it needed gudev. In FreeBSD we use devd.

If you need auto-mount, you can use sysutils/automount with (or without) sysutils/xfce4-genmon-plugin.

In previous versions of Xfce (< 4.8), Hal was dependancy, but now (Xfce >= 4.8) it not necessary.

Thank you for answering my question. This solved my problem. But I still seeking for better way to manage my removable device. Maybe it can notify when I plugin my usb device rather than execute automount command regularly.
