[Solved] Put the default "bar on top" on the bottom

I recently installed Fedora17, choosing the XFCE distribution
because Genome3 has been said to be a resource hog.
I have been using Linux since 1997 and Unix since 1987.

The first thing I notice about the XFCE defaults is that the
bar which has the phrase "Applications Menu" and is followed by
rectangles representing xterms or other applications, is _on_ _top_
of the screen.

I need to put this bar on the bottom.

Presumably, I need to put the menu that is by default
on the bottom, somewhere else too, such as the top.

Thank you for your help;

Re: [Solved] Put the default "bar on top" on the bottom

Right-click the panel (bar), Panel > Panel Preferences..., uncheck 'Lock panel' and drag it to the bottom.
You will have to remove or move out of the way the panel at the bottom (panel 2).
