Orca on XFCE 4.10

Hi,

Is Orca working with XFCE 4.10?

I've installed 4.10 and Orca but it only seems to work on Orca's own dialog and nothing else.

Re: Orca on XFCE 4.10

Do you have it set to start at login (Settings>Session and Startup)?

Re: Orca on XFCE 4.10

Hi,

It starts when I log in but again I get no speech for any application I launch except for Orca's own dialog and I have also ticked the Enabled Assistive Technologies. Under Ubuntu this was all I had to do but its not working in Xubuntu 12.04 running XFCE 4.10

Maybe Xfce's support for it is broken but see if event/user feedback sounds are enabled too in Settings>Appearance.

Re: Orca on XFCE 4.10

Hi,

I'm sure the event/user feedback sounds in Settings>Appearance have nothing to do with Orca. Orca's own dialogs work without any issues. But I switched it on just in case smile  It still did not work.

I saw that in the xfce 4.10 roadmap orca integration was being worked on but I cannot find anything that categorically states that Orca works with xfcce 4.10.

I am beginning to think it has been put on hold. I've had a look at what I can see of the 4.12 roadmap and that does not even mention Orca...
