Thunar: Can I change behaviour in analogy to "cd -P"?

Can I change change Thunar's behaviour with respect to symlinks in analogy to "cd -P"?
I.e. when I double click a symlink to a directory, it would not pretend there is a directory where the symlink is, but it would jump to the "real" place indicated by the symlink. This would be what Windows Explorer does when double-clicking .lnk files, if that clarifies my point.

I like the current behavior much more than the one you proposed.

However, it would be nice to have such action (e.g. 'Follow the Symbolic Link") available via menu (main and context).

Well, of course the standard behaviour is great. But in some circumstances it would be preferable to have the other one as an option.
