Bind mouse click on desktop to jump to Places

Hi, I was wondering if there was a method to bind a right or middle mouse click on the desktop to open a dialog for selecting a user place (as those listed in Thunar in the left panel). That would make folder navigation a snap, as opposed to finding the little icon on the bottom panel to do so.

cheers,

You can bind a key combination to the

xfce4-popup-places

command (it will automatically deploy the Places menu), but I don't think you can bind it to a click on the XFCE desktop. You might have better luck with an alternative desktop manager.

Re: Bind mouse click on desktop to jump to Places

use xbindkeys

add to .xbindkeysrc
# specify a mouse button
"xfce4-popup-places"
  control + b:2

control and middle click will execute it
