[Solved] xfce4-session-logout by root

Hallo,

I use a system  built with Linuxfromscratch 7.0, BLFS 7.0
Kernel 3.1.0
X.Org X Server 1.11.2
xfce 4.8.0

everything is working.
Question: when I logout as normal user with xfce4-session-logout I get the expected 3 buttons
logout  reboot  shutdown. I changed sudoers.
but when I logout as root the reboot and shutdown buttons are greyed out.
Doesn't matter if I start with startx or startxfce4  or xinit /usr/etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc -- /usr/bin/X -quiet -nolisten TCP
I found in the net many solutions if a normal user has this problem but nothing if root
has this problem.
Has anyone an explanation?

Thanks in advance

Solution:
It is more a workaround than a solution: I allowed root to do sudo (I am the single user)
Everybody who knows an explanation for this strange behaviour is welcome

Most certainly a configuration problem.  I would check the ownership of your filesystem first.
