Qt "GTK+" style option not updating correctly after style change

Hello!

I'm using the style 'GTK+' for Qt to get a consistent look/feel across all apps.
(set in ~/.config/Trolltech.conf)  When I
change the style from within Settings/Appearance/Style, the first time the style is applied
correctly. But when I then click another style, the Qt apps don't update their style. When
I hover the mouse over some of their widgets, the style does seem to get applied there.
It is only until after restarting the app that the style is applied correctly.

I was wondering if anyone has an idea about how to debug this. It is strange because on the first
style switch, everything seems to work fine.
