xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin appearance

Hi.

Since updating to the last version of xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin (version 2.1.6), the menu has its own skin and no longer respects the skin selected under Appearance/Style (which in my case is Xfce-Saltlake).

Version 1.7.5 has no such behaviour.

Is there anyway to configure the plugin so that it keeps using the default system skin?

As of version 2.x, the whiskermenu is built with GTK3. You need to use a GTK3-compatible theme (Xfce-Saltlake is not).

As of version 2.x, the whiskermenu is built with GTK3. You need to use a GTK3-compatible theme (Xfce-Saltlake is not).

I did see the theme listed near GTK3 in a couple of web links:

I don't know if either has any relevance to this discussion, though.

I believe that the GTK3 versions of those themes were not being kept up to date (to keep up with the changing GTK3 specs) are were subsequently removed from the Xfce code base. Depending on the version of GTK3 that you are using, it might still work, but if there are issues like the OP is experiencing, it is most likely due to this incompatibility.
