xfce4-mailwatch-plugin doesn't work with Gmail

Hi
this plugin never worked with my Gmail account: tried with Remote Email Imap and with Remote Gmail Imap but whitout success: sometimes I get "...wrong username or password... " sometimes nothing happens.
Can you help me please?
I use this superbe Xfce DE 4.12

This would seem to indicate that the userid and/or password are incorrect. What are you using for the username? Make usre you don't add the "@gmail.com" part - just the userid part.

Also, what version of the plugin are you using?

Edit: There is also this bug report with some workarounds. I believe it works for me because I have less secure apps setting enabled.

Plugin version: 1.2.0. Maybe it's this bug you reported.

1. How can I add xfce4-mailwatch-plugin into permitted apps in my Gmail account?
2. Do there is a fix (OAuth 2.0 protocol how read in your link) for the version > 1.2.0?

Go to https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and enable less secure apps.

No, there is no fix yet. I don't believe the plugin is being maintained by anyone, which is the reason.
