Re: welcome to the first start

The normal process is to save Xfce settings when logging out. If, during the logout process, Xfce is unable to save these configuration settings (e.g. there is some sort of session crash), then the settings won't be saved. And you will be prompted again with that dialog at the next startup.

I've never used x2go so I'm not sure how it works. Check your log files to see if you are crashing during logout and/or determine if Xfce is properly shutting down. Also double-check the permissions on the directories and files in ~/.config/xfce4 to make sure that you have the proper access rights to save the configuration files.

No, session didn't crashed.
I need all time first time login by myself with new created user and push "use default config"(button) for not confusing the user for first loggin there.

I want make this automatic select "use default config" when user login in first time.

Oh I see. I believe you need to create a default panel layout first. Which distro are you using?

Re: welcome to the first start

I don't believe gentoo adds any xfce-specific distro configs, so renaming and moving /etc/xdg/xfce4/panel/default.xml to /etc/xdg/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-panel.xml will remove the prompt and use that file to create the default panel layout.

Re: welcome to the first start

ToZ's solution works but be careful if you use it in a script or a preseed : the exact path of the destination goes through the repertory "xfce-perchannel-xml" and not "xfce-prechannel-xml" that doesn't exist !
