Thne doesn't work on debian 9 xfce

Hello,
I tried to download a lot of theme (gtk2,gtk3,etc...) but none of them works...
I want a dark theme and the only dark theme which works is Adwaita-dark.
Do you have an Idea of the problem ?

I have xfce 4.12

Which version of GTK3 do you currently have installed?

Sorry I just found the problem :   I was copying the themes in ~/.local/share/themes instead of ~/.themes
now it works perfectly !
