Ristretto Image Viewer - strange blue area in the side of screen

Xfce 4.14, Arch Linux

Exactly as here, on the right side of a screen: https://i.imgur.com/LlpuGuR.png

Both in fullscreen mode, or maximized window.

What is is? In some pictures it's on the right, in others it's on the bottom.

Re: Ristretto Image Viewer - strange blue area in the side of screen

Does it go away if you try another GTK (Appearance) theme (like Adwaita)?

Do you have some sort of auto-hiding dock in that area?

Yes, I use custom theme (Layan). I don't see it on Adwaita.
I don't have any dock on right side.

Re: Ristretto Image Viewer - strange blue area in the side of screen

It looks kind of like the undershoot/overshoot shadow. Can you try adding the following to ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css to see if it helps?

undershoot.top, undershoot.right, undershoot.bottom, undershoot.left { background-image: none; }

Restart ristretto and see if it goes away.

Nope, it's still there. However, I didn't have gtk.css file, so I created it in the directory you mentioned and saved with this one line.

Does the problem persist if you unmaximize the window?

And is it this Layan theme that you are using?

Replace "undershoot" with "overshoot" which is the overflow indication.

Re: Ristretto Image Viewer - strange blue area in the side of screen

This workaround works for me but is there a way to make it application specific? In this case specific to Ristretto. Maybe there is a Ristretto CSS ID or something like that? With the given workaround there is no overflow indication for example in mousepad anymore.

Unfortunately, Ristretto does not provide any GTK classes to configure so it is not possible to direct changes at it. Might be a good idea to create an enhancement request asking for at least one main class.
