Some icons disappeared recently in system tray

Hi everyone!

I've had no problems with Xfce4 until now. Some days ago (I don't recall if it was after a system update) I suddenly stopped visualizing some icons in the system tray, such as Dropbox, Pidgin, HPLip, Teams...
Furthermore, it isn't a startup problem, since starting those applications doesn't make the icon appear.ç

Some insights on what could be going wrong? Thank you all beforehand

Edit: I forgot to post which linux I'm using: Arch Linux, kernel 5.7.2-arch1-1

Re: Some icons disappeared recently in system tray

Hello and welcome.

Which trays are you using (there are 3 of them - Notification, Indicator and Status Notifier)?

Can you post back your panel layouts:

xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -lv

...and the contents of ~/.xsession-errors (if you have one) or:

journalctl -b 0 --no-pager

Please remember to mark your thread [SOLVED] to make it easier for others to find

Re: Some icons disappeared recently in system tray

Hi, thanks for your reply. I wasn't very sure of what differences there are between the trays you mentioned...
But I just realised it was the notification area, and apparently some update (or accidentally) removed it from the panel. Adding the notification area again to the panel was the solution (what an idiot I am hahaha)

Thank you anyway for your quick reply and your attention
