Re: [ SOLVED ]Lost whisker menu

Right click on the panel and select panel>>add new items. a new window will open, in the search enter whisker, click on the Whiskermenu then click add and close. You can then move it by right clicking on the plugin and select move. Just drag it to the desired location.

Re: [ SOLVED ]Lost whisker menu

but that's what I mean is not in the "add items"  it was gone from the panel and from the add new items , also the sensor plugin which I recover by installing it from the software manager.

Re: [ SOLVED ]Lost whisker menu

Hi jarp53,

I assume this is your Mint install? If so, this will reset the panel back to the default. You need to make any modifications you've already done once again after running this:

xfce4-panel --quit ; pkill xfconfd ; rm -rf ~/.config/xfce4/panel ; rm -rf ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-panel.xml ; xfce4-panel

But if you don't mind, as the Mint developers never did figure out what is occasionally causing this, I like you to try this to see if it has the same effect (it might also be the better way as your other panel modifications might not get reset):
Open Menu > Settings > Session and Startup > Sessions tab
Click the Clear saved sessions button.
Now go back to the General tab, and make sure Automatically save session on logout is NOT checked.

Now log out then log back in. Did the Wiskermenu return?

Re: [ SOLVED ]Lost whisker menu

thank you but this is my Debian 10  install ; in Mint everything is running "stable" like I thought it's suppose to be in here " the most stable" , but then of course I'm not a power user and Debian is not as intuitive like Mint

Okay. Let's wait for other ideas, as I have practically no Debian experience.

Re: [ SOLVED ]Lost whisker menu

problem solved; thank you : I did it by playing with the ppa from the result of the terminal after calling for apt -cache policy, and typing the full name "whishermenu-plugin "
