change the language or add man pages in other languages?

hi

I did install the weekly CD1 with xfce from
https://deb.debian.org/debian/ bullseye main non-free contrib

as my English is (really very) poor but enough to use currently the system, I did install in English.

but the use of complex helps and man pages is sometime a great difficulty for me.

I don't find the place in the installed system where I (probably) can add one or two new languages.

is that possible?

Here are the instructions for Debian.

I've always used the Language Support graphical app, thinking it was a native Xfce thing, but now I realize it's called gnome-language-selector and is a Ubuntu package.

See if it's on your repos, it's very easy to use; if not, follow the steps above and do a "sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales" after installing the packages for your lang.

I don't know... I think the Ubuntu packages wouldn't work, but I'm not sure.

My advice is to follow the Debian wiki: https://wiki.debian.org/Locale
