Boot to CLI

This may be something of a newbie question, but is there a way to boot to the command line without starting Xfce desktop?

Re: Boot to CLI

You could disable your display manager. This will bring you to a text login screen. Or alternatively, Ctrl+Alt+F2 to get to a console.

Re: Boot to CLI

For the second option, just press Ctrl+Alt+F2.

For the first, assuming you are running lightdm, then:

sudo systemctl disable lightdm
