xfce4-screenshooter Copy-to-the-clipboard does not work with gimp

Press PrtSc, select 'Copy to the clipboard', OK, open GIMP, Ctrl-V.
Then GIMP tells me 'there is no image data in the clipboard to paste'.

xfce4-clipman is running.

Does anyone have an idea how this is happening or whether this implies a bug?

Which application fires up when you press "PrtSc"? Is it xfce4-screenshooter?
Ah yes, its in your title. The process works here for me.

Which distro and which version of Xfce are you running?

Thanks for the reply.
I'm under Manjaro 20.01 with xfce 4.14, gimp 2.10.20.

I vaguely remember that I've tried it before and succeeded.
Not sure why it's now broken.

Just in case, the precise key strokes after opening gimp are:
Ctrl-N (new image), enter (OK), Ctrl-V (paste).

What are your xfce4-clipman settings:

xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -lv | grep clipman

$ xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -lv | grep clipman
/plugins/clipman/tweaks/inhibit                      false
/plugins/clipman/tweaks/never-confirm-history-clear  false

Sorry for the delay in responding. I can't replicate the issue with your settings. I downloaded and installed Manjaro 20.01 and it worked in there as well.

Do you have another clipboard manager running?

I'm not sure, but "Copy Image" from firefox worked normally with gimp between two failed pasting of screenshots.

Anyway, the problem disappeared after reboot, tho `xfconf-query` gives the same result.
