An icon on xfce panel can't be displayed.

Hi all.
I use xfce4 on my manjaro linux.

When I installed pd-l2ork with yay, icons were installed like following.
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/pd-l2ork-k12-red.png
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/pd-l2ork-k12.png
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/pd-l2ork-red.png
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/pd-l2ork.png

But as I "Add to panel" pd-l2ork from start menu, the icon of pd-l2ork has not been displayed.

I converted each of png file to svg and jpg, but not good result.
I've also put converted pd-l2ork.svg to  /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/ but not displayed.

How can I make the icon displayed on xfce panel?

Hello and welcome.

The installed .desktop files in /usr/share/applications all have, as their Icon parameter, an *.xpm icon file. Since this file doesn't exist, it seems to throw xfce4-panel off. You'll need to edit the corresponding .desktop file and remove the ".xpm" extension from the "Icon=" line.

Then you either need to remove and re-add the launcher, or edit the launcher file in the ~/.config/xfce4/panel/ directory tree to also remove the .xpm extension from the Icon line.
